Scan & Donate Using QR Codes & Tags
A QR code (short for Quick Response) is a specific matrix barcode (or two-dimensional code), readable by dedicated QR barcode readers and camera phones. The code consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on a white background. The information encoded can be text, URL or other data. Using the QR Generator in the administrative portal you may set up as many QR Codes as needed.
QR Codes may be set up for specific pages, specific payment pages with preset amounts and much more.
How does work?
It is easy to find a QR reader for your mobile phone. Simply visit the app store for your smart phone and download a QR reader. Once installed point your phone's camera at the QR code and follow the screen's instructions. Typically QR reader will first display the URL it reads and upon confirmation will open the browser and display the page.
In the QR generation page of the administrative portal, various options may be included in each QR Code. These options will customize the landing page according to the options selected. See the forum for examples.
What is a Tag & How does it work?
Mobile tagging allows organizations to link information for immediate access by all smart phones. Tagging offers more flexibility and richer experience than QR Codes.
Tags may be used for:

- Free text
- vCard
- Dialer

Customized Reports
Each QR code may be assigned a tracker. Trackers are recorded with every transaction and may be used as filters for downloading reports. Trackers are also posted to the Salesforce Donor Management with each transaction.
How much is it?
There are no additional costs associated with mobile giving. Mobile payments are treated the same as any another transactions through the system.
