PCI Compliant Recurring Payments
Every transaction may be set up with a recurring payment option. Recurring payments will be replicates of the original payment and may be based on a subscription or an installment schedule with the following options as periods:
- 2 weeks
- Monthly
- 2 months
- Quarterly
- 6 months
- Year
Periods may be customized and each checkout page may be set up with a different recurring schedule type, or options.
You may test each example with following credit card number:
- Credit card #: 4111111111111111 (4 and 15x1's)
- CV2: 123
- Date: leave the default date.
You will receive the receipt with recurring information.
Example: Subscription Schedule [sample]
Subscription based recurring payments are similar to magazine subscriptions where the patron chooses to pay a fixed amount on a regular basis for a set time. For example paying $30 a month for 12 months.
Limitations may be placed on the number of periods, e.g. no more than 10 periods, or not exceeding a set date. Click on the image to see an example of a subscription based recurring payment.
Example: Installment Schedule [sample]
Installment based recurring payments are similar to making a tuition payment on installments where the patron chooses to pay a fixed amount but break it down into equal payments over a set period.
Limitations may be placed on the number of installments as well as the period, e.g. no more than 3 payments or not exceeding a set date. Click on the image to see an example of an installment based recurring payment.
Default Schedules
Patrons will be presented a number of default periods for each recurring payment. The periods may be customized through the Recurring Policy section of the administrative portal.
The available periods, as shown in the image, are by default set to every 2 weeks, 2 months, quarter, 6 months, and year. Each checkout page may be set with a different schedule, for example a page may be set up for accepting donations with all periods available and one page may be set up for membership renewal with Year being the only available option.
Customized Schedules [sample]
Instead of the standard recurring options, each page may be set up with a customized recurring schedule that limits the patron from selecting a period, number of intervals, or a deadline. There are no limits on the number of customized recurring options that may be defined. Each checkout page may be set up with a different recurring schedule.
The example shown in this section offers a customized subscription recurring model that limits the patron to only an annual giving while not allowing more than 3 payments.
